Pain Medicine

Uncontrolled pain can interfere with cancer treatment and affects quality of life. Our team of medical specialists and other health care professionals provides a variety of pain treatments:

  • Medications
  • Anesthetic and surgical procedures
  • Physical therapies
  • Psychological, cognitive, and behavioral interventions

Utilizing currently available methods, pain can be managed without causing addiction or other difficult side effects.

Palliative Care

Palliative Care is a comprehensive approach to care that enhances quality of life for patients and their families. Palliative care includes:

  • Medical management of pain and other symptoms such as nausea and fatigue
  • Psychological and spiritual support for patients and their families
  • Advance care planning when disease is incurable
  • Rehabilitation
  • Psychiatric care

Palliative Care is an integral part of cancer care whether a person has just been diagnosed, is in active treatment, has been successfully treated, or has terminal illness.
