Scott Lloyd, senior director of finance and administration for Huntsman Cancer
Institute, is a seasoned accounting and finance executive. His areas of responsibility include
finance, informatics, development, human resources, purchasing, facilities, security, and The Point
Restaurant and Reception Center.
Before joining Huntsman Cancer Institute in 1999, Lloyd was vice president of finance and
administration for American Stores, where he acquired a background in planning and budgeting, cost
controls, team building, process involvement, and problem solving. During his fifteen years there, he
served a number of roles, including director of planning and budgets for American Stores Company in
Salt Lake City, director of accounting for Jewel Osco Southwest in Albuquerque, director of finance
and accounting for Super Saver (a division of American Stores), and assistant controller for American
Stores Company, also in Salt Lake City.
Lloyd is a CPA with a BS in accounting from the University of Utah and a BS in Finance from
Brigham Young University. He earned an MBA from the University of Utah in 1983.
